ME25 Survey Update to Parishioners

Cheryl Doiron gave a truly excellent testimony and update at all the Masses last week setting before us many challenges and plans for the future. Her presentation follows.

Several months ago, 305 members of this parish filled out a survey, which was developed by Gallup, to measure spiritual engagement. In other words, it measure the spiritual health of Holy Family Parish. It is my privilege to share with you what you collectively told us in the survey.

The Living Your Strengths Process

All parishioners are welcome and encouraged to participate in our Living your Strength program. The following briefly describes the process. As a group forms you would begin by purchasing the Living Your Strengths book for a nominal fee of $20. The book is available through the parish. The book contains "a key" (a password) that provides access to the online Living Your Strengths questionnaire which, when completed by you, reveals your personal “5” signature themes. It is important that you complete this step before the first workshop begins. When a sufficient number of parishioners have completed this step, a group will be formed to begin a series of three workshops lead by a trained facilitator. Each workshop lasts approximately 2 hours. The purpose of the workshops are to help you understand and better use these strengths in your daily life, as well as an understanding of how they interconnect in the life of the church.

The first Living Your Strengths 2011 group recently completed their 3 day program. Donna Cashman (from Halifax) and Cheryl Doiron co-facilitated this group. They demonstrated how to use our individual Signature Themes (Strengths) and how they interconnect in the life of our Parish. The sessions revolved around the particular themes found in the group.

ME25 Survey Completed

We thank our parishioners for their participation in the ME-25 survey January 22 & 23rd . We printed 400 copies of the survey and only 104 were not handed out. Of the surveys returned, only 5 had no response to any of the questions. Four surveys were given to parishioners during this past week to complete and many more were completed after the various masses the following weekend. The Steering Committee is pleased with the overall response.

Stay tuned for the results in May.
