RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Notices
A meeting of all catechists will take place Sunday morning February 12th at 10:00am in the church. This will be a pre-Lenten meeting and hopefully all catechists and assistants will attend. Classes will be cancelled on that morning. Catechists who hold classes on Sunday evenings will advise you as to the status of their classes.
A donation of $75.63 was made to the Holy Childhood Association from the Advent donation boxes. Children followed an Advent calendar of activities and placed coins in donation boxes as each activity was completed. The Holy Childhood Association is a Catholic Charity that assists children throughout the world with various projects. Monies raised will support these projects and we thank our children for their generosity.
All classes are held in the Parish Hall. Level 1-5 classes begin at 10am sharp and run until 11:05am Children will participate in singing from 10:50 until 11:05am. Song adds an important dimension to our program and we urge all children to participate and that families attend our Sunday celebration of Eucharist together. Levels 7 & 8 begin at 7:00pm, while Level 6 & Confirmation (Level 9 & up) begins at 6:30 on Sunday evenings at the church.
Children's Liturgy at the 11:15 Mass: This ministry is available to children from Primary to Level 4 (ages 5 to 10). Older children should remain with the assembly as the readings and Gospel are proclaimed. We invite older youth from Levels 7 and up who would like to assist our Children’s Liturgy teams to do so by contacting Deacon Howard at 667-2523 or speaking with him at weekend masses. You will be included on the Children’s Liturgy schedule so you will know when you are expected to assist a team. Children aged 5 and under who want to participate in Children’s Liturgy should be accompanied by a parent.
